Originally the Lodge was a domestic residence that over time was transformed into a bed & breakfast and later into what it is today, a cosy yet elegant, mountain Lodge. One of the main features of the Lodge is the beauty and purity of the materials used in the construction of the building, with wood taken from fallen trees on the farm and stone walls blended with modern architecture.
"We just stayed one night but absolutely loved it. By far the best breakfast I've had in a long time - homemade breads and jam, eggs, bacon, pancakes, homemade granola (so good we would have bought it in bulk if we could), fresh fruit and fresh squeezed orange juice. It's a very special place and the views, especially right when you wake up, are stunning."
The eleven comfortable and elegant rooms, some of which are newly refurbished, each have their own character and individuality. They include six spacious, luxury, bedrooms with King or Queen beds and elegant en suite bathrooms; three of which have balconies overlooking the sweeping views towards Poas Volcano. The other three bedrooms have private gardens and are just steps away from the cloud forest. The remaining five bedrooms are located a few steps from the Lodge in the outside Garden Rooms.
The five Garden Rooms, situated outside the main building, all have a warm and cosy ambience with stone walls, wood panelling, soft lighting and comfortable beds and furnishings. All these bedrooms are en suite, with showers or baths and some can accommodate families of up to four people. There is one room available with disability access.
